Zed Xu (榛子瞬, b. 1993) is a migrant trans-disciplinary artist of Chinese descent working across experimental makeup, abstract painting, audio-visual installations, and live performances. They are bringing their mark-making practice to a live audience for the first time with EVERY PLACE at the Auckland Fringe Festival in collaboration with cinematographer Nick Willoughby, live soundscape from 花溪 Flowerstream and a showcasing of audio work with Goodspace.

Working with story telling, ink and movement, Zed explores the space between mark making and spiritual evolution, contemplating themes of loneliness, human connections and belonging through the lens of art and their own experiences of being an immigrant and outsider.

(EVERY PLACE is a PG13 performance containing gore, loud music, and strobe lighting. Viewers discretion is advised. Please be aware the show is being recorded for future display)
